You have to understand the types of car lights!

The use of car lights has a direct relationship with driving safety. Proper use of car lights can not only protect their own safety but also create an orderly traffic environment.
Car lights include:
Headlight
Headlights are of two types-low beam and high beam. They are mainly used for roads and objects in front of the light tower to ensure driving safety. R drivers can see the roads in the dark, and at the same time send signals to other drivers about the existence of cars.

The low beam provides light distribution to provide sufficient forward and lateral illumination without blinding other road users due to excessive glare.
High beam lights provide a strong, center-weighted light distribution with no special control over glare and should only be used when there are no cars visible in front of you.
The alternating changes of high beam and the low beam can be used as overtaking signals at night.
Headlights are installed on both sides of the car’s head. Each car is equipped with 2 or 4 headlights.
Taillight

The tail lights only need to emit red light at the rear of the vehicle and have wires installed to light up when the headlights are turned on, which helps the driver following you to recognize your position.
Daytime Running Lights

Daytime driving lights are located at the front and rear of cars and usually turn on automatically, although on some cars you can choose to turn them off.
They are designed to make it easier for you to be seen by other cars, but some drivers find them distracting the oncoming cars.
Fog light

Fog lamps are installed near or slightly lower than headlights. It is used as a light fixture to illuminate roads and provide signals to oncoming vehicles under conditions of low visibility such as fog, snow, heavy rain or dust.
Most of the lights are yellow because the yellow light wave is longer and has good fog permeability.
Signal light
Also known as turn signal lights or “flashlights”, they are located at the front and rear of the car, next to the headlights and taillights.
When activated, they indicate to other drivers that you will turn quickly and may slow down.
Brake light
They are located next to the taillights and signal to the driver that you are slowing down or stopping.
They will only be activated when the brakes are applied, so you don’t need to worry about their misuse.
However, you must ensure that they are properly maintained and will not burn down.
Driving light
They are located in the cab of your vehicle and are used to illuminate the cab so that passengers or drivers can safely check the map or direction or find items in the dark. They must not be used for a long time.
Reversing light
The reversing lamp is installed at the rear of the car and is used to illuminate the road behind the car and inform the vehicle and pedestrians that the vehicle is reversing or preparing to reverse. It also has the function of a light signal device.
License plate lamp
The license plate lamp is installed above the license plate at the rear of the vehicle, and its purpose is to illuminate the license plate at the rear of the vehicle. The requirement is that the number on the license plate can be clearly seen 20M behind the car at night.
Overhead light
Lamps and lanterns installed in the cab or at the top of the car for lighting in the cab. The dome light is white, and the lampshades are mostly made of transparent plastic.
Instrument light
It is a tool for instrument lighting and is often connected to the instrument panel.
Step lamp
It is a lamp used to illuminate the step of the car door and facilitate passengers to get on and off.
Luggage lamp
It is a lamp in the trunk of a car.
Tool lamp
It is used for repairing automobiles. The automobile is equipped with a working lamp socket and a movable lamp with wires.
Don’t underestimate these small lights, they play a very important role in the driving of the car.
